Title: Tämsyn: HolyPriest
Post by: Tamsyn on May 29, 2017, 10:09:33 PM
Character's Name: Tämsyn
BTag: Maka#1912
Character's Level: 110
Class: Priest
Usual Spec: Holy
Normal Play Time:
Evenings
Age: 26
Previous Guild: Incognito
Reason you left previous guild:
The GM decided to suddenly leave the guild, leaving chaos in the wake, following which the raid leader quit as well. After losing multiple people and having to pull in pugs it just got to be a, for lack of a better term, a lost cause. I'm looking for a guild that has the stability and the progression, along with a good attitude.

Tell us a bit about yourself:
I'm pretty laid back, I work as a bartender part time and spend the rest of my time working with horses. I've been playing WoW since Burning Crusade, and it was the first video game I'd ever played. Since then I've enjoyed raiding as a healer (mostly a priest) as well as expanding my video game nerdery to other games like Rift, although I still enjoy WoW best of all of them.

Are you friends with anyone in Nightstalkers? If so, who and how do you know them?
Not yet but I look forward to meeting people.

Why do you want to become a member of Nightstalkers?
The schedule matches what I'm looking for and the people I've spoken to so far seem very nice. I also like that the guild has been around since BC with continuous raiding.

Any alts we can contact you on? None on server.

Our raid times are Tues, Thurs, and Sun from 7:00 - 11:00 server. Are you able to make ALL of our raid times, every week?
Yes outside the 2 discussed in my interview.

Do you forsee any issues in the near future with attendance? Vacation? Moving? Etc? 2 days in June, 20th and 22nd

Please take a moment to outline your rotation/priority. Be thorough and specific: As a holy priest my abilities that are priority to keep on CD consist of Prayer of Mending, Holy Word: Serenity, and Holy Word: Sanctuary. Pre-pull I generally stack 10 charges of Prayer of Mending on each tank, pre-pot with Prolonged Power, then put a renew on each tank.

Depending on the fight I either run Benediction, which has a 40% chance to place a renew on each target it heals (and synergizes well with the legendary pants) or Apotheosis (currently I only run this on Chromatic Anom as it does very well during power overwhelming and synergizes with cosmic ripple for even more healing.)

The only other tier of talents that really ever changes is swapping between Trail of Light and Enlightenment. Trail of Light has been very strong for fights I find myself doing more single target healing on such as Tich or Star Auger. Enlightenment however gives me the regen needed for AoE healing fights where I will be casting more Prayer of Healing than single target heals.

What's the one misconception about your class that upsets you the most?
A lot of people dislike holy priest because they don't feel that it is as strong as other healers or brings a cd such as link or barrier. Holy priest can be incredibly strong, especially when underhealing due to its mastery.

Summary of your raid experience (go as far back as you can):
I started raiding in BC, clearing Kara,Mag's,SSC,TK,Hyjal,Black Temple, and through Brut in Sunwell. This was completed as a holy priest.

Wotlk I cleared all content while current, notable achievements consist of server first Heroic LK, Tribute to Dedicated Insanity, and Champion of Ulduar. This was done as both disc and holy, swapping as needed.

During MoP I played semi-casual as my schedule did not allow for more. I raided a bit toward the end of the expansion, managing to complete Cutting Edge: Garrosh Hellscream with a pug from Openraid. During this time I raided on both a holy paladin and a disc priest, killing Garrosh on the priest first in 10 man then later on the holy paladin in 25 man.

In Wod I completed Cutting Edge: Imperator's Fall, and Cutting Edge: The Black Gate.I also completed through Mythic Blast Furnace while it was current. During this time I raided as a disc priest, occasionally getting to play holy on farm nights and as a holy paladin.

For the current expansion I have Cutting Edge: Xavius as a holy priest with some fights done as a resto shaman in order to have spirit link. Currently I have killed 9/10 in mythic Nighthold, with some work done on mythic Guldan.

Are you willing to respecc or sit out of a raid if a different class is needed? Yes

Are you able to be in Vent for raids (Mic and the ability to talk is required)? Yes

Healers apply and leave Nightstalkers as a meme now. How many reasons and ways can they come up with? Hmm...
