Title: Brojlnir: AssassinationRogue
Post by: Guest on April 30, 2018, 12:33:58 PM
Character's Name: Brojlnir
BTag: Cynikul#1765
Character's Level: 110
Class: Rogue
Usual Spec: Assassination
Normal Play Time:
Early-late evening
Age: 27
Previous Guild: Volition
Reason you left previous guild:
Guild more or less decided to take a break, a lot of people left for Nightstalkers.

Tell us a bit about yourself:
I'm pretty easy to get along with, I'd say.  I'm capable of making friends with just about anyone.  I have a few hobbies, gaming, streaming (more of a part-time job at this point), fitness, hiking.  I'm currently in school for a programming degree, hopefully someday I'll be able to set up a neckbeard nest somewhere in the corner of a server room and just get a salary until I die.

Are you friends with anyone in Nightstalkers? If so, who and how do you know them?
Rustyobra, TaintedMists, Bigblk, possibly more.

Why do you want to become a member of Nightstalkers?
I've recently come back to WoW, and I really miss having a community to hang out with.  Volition was great, but I see that a lot of them have come over to you guys and they seem to be really enjoying it.  Honestly, that sets a pretty great precedent for what kind of community I can expect in Nightstalkers.

I enjoy having fun, and I enjoy making progress.  I think the best progress is made WHILE having fun, and the most memories are made while accomplishing things with people you enjoy being around.

Any alts we can contact you on?

Our raid times are Tues, Thurs, and Sun from 7:00 - 11:00 server. Are you able to make ALL of our raid times, every week?
Yes.

Do you forsee any issues in the near future with attendance? Vacation? Moving? Etc? Moving at the end of the summer.

Please take a moment to outline your rotation/priority. Be thorough and specific: Assuming all flasks/food/etc. is rolling..

Opening:
Prepot
Garrote
Mutilate
Rupture
Vendetta
Toxic Blade
Kingsbane
Vanish
Envenom
Mutilate
Garrote
Envenom, typically until the Mantle buff goes away.

From there, it's a game of maintaining poison, rupture and garrote (ideally) for 100% of the time on my main target.  Paying close attention to Kingsbane and TB cooldowns can net me some damage if I line up TB with the last 8 seconds of Kingsbane as well.  It's also helpful to keep the envenom buff up as much as possible, especially with T21.

What's the one misconception about your class that upsets you the most?
That I use stealth to hide from my own emotions as a coping mechanism.

I mean, they're right, but I don't like the misconception.

Summary of your raid experience (go as far back as you can):
I've been raiding on and off since vanilla, during Molten Core I swapped from my warrior (who I was off-tanking with) and went to rogue, been rogue ever since.  I raided up to Twin Emps in vanilla, never quite killed C'thun and didn't do Nax at all.

Burning Crusade, I raided every tier until my guild fell apart before Sunwell due to the guild leader sleeping with someone in the guild's wife.

WotLK, I was in and out a lot due to college starting.  I don't have a ton of memory of this expansion outside of Naxx and ICC, which I raided a lot of.

Cataclysm, I raided pretty hardcore with a group of friends until Firelands burnt us out (heh).  I returned at the beginning of MOP, sort of messed around with LFR, left until the end of MOP and PUG'd Siege until WOD hit.

I played WOD for a few months, like most people, and left.  I returned right before HFC, and began PUGing for a while to get my gear up, and was looking to transfer off of Tichondrius with a friend.  Emerald Dream seemed like a great realm, and my friend found Volition on the ED forums.  Seemed like fate, so we hopped over and jumped into Volition.

I raided with Volition for a few months, but then things started going pretty bad with my relationship.  It depressed me, and I couldn't really summon the will to play WoW.  I returned before Tomb and raided there until the guild fell apart due to lack of attendance.

I bummed around for a while, but inevitably took a break not too long after the current tier came out.  I've been PUGing around for about a week, and I've decided I'd like to try to jump back into raiding, or at least find me a new community.

Are you willing to respecc or sit out of a raid if a different class is needed? Yes.

Are you willing to download a few raid specific addons? Yes.

Are you able to be in Discord for raids (Mic and the ability to talk is required)? Yes.

Please list your computer's specs. CPU speed, video card, RAM, Wireless/Wired?, Cable/DSL?, and average in-game latency.
3.5 GHz i5-4690k
nVidia GeForce GTX 770
16 GB RAM
Wired, Cable

Is your computer in good working order? Any current issues with it? Please make this answer detailed and specific.
No issues, would like a new GPU though.

Are you easily offended by adult language and conversation? Extremely. (no)

Is there anything else you think we should know?
I stream, so my attention might be divided between chat and the game/Discord.  However, I don't pay attention to chat when fighting bosses, obviously.

Doubt we'll have time to gear you at this point. We're just making our final push to clear Antorus. Once it's cleared, we'll certainly reconsider while we do our final farming before the exp. I know you have a lot of friends here so you're welcome to a social spot for the time being, if you'd like.

Sure!  I'm looking for a community right now more than anything.  Gear is whatever, I didn't expect to be able to raid immediately either way; but I'd happily tag along if ya ever needed me.  I'll get a hold of you in game ASAP.
